EBRD lends € 10 million to finance MSMEs in Romania

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has announced that it has signed a senior unsecured loan of € 10 million to Garanti Leasing Romania for on-lending to local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) under the framework. financial intermediaries (FIF).

The loan proceeds will be used to ensure MSME’s uninterrupted access to finance as the economy continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, the EBRD said in a project briefing document.

At least 30% of the revenues will be used to finance investments eligible for the transition to the green economy (GET).
